Business Development Executive

Overview

In this role you will actively expand our retail insurance footprint by sourcing new business while retaining existing clients. You will leverage your communication and negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with underwriters and represent Gallagher professionally at industry events. You’ll build and manage a self-sustaining sales pipeline, focusing on customer needs and upsell opportunities. You’ll work within a collaborative, integrity-driven culture to meet or exceed targets and strengthen our market reputation. Responsibilities

• Actively grow and source new business while retaining existing clients
• Upsell across a broad range of services and products to retail customers
• Generate leads and build pipelines autonomously
• Meet or exceed targets and contribute to overall performance
• Network and represent the company at trade events, dinners, AGMs, and expos
• Negotiate favorable terms with underwriters and insurers
• Present the company professionally and foster open dialogue about the industry
• Maintain a client-centric approach and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver outcomes

Key requirements

• Insurance industry experience
• Sales management experience in a commercial setting
• Consistent track record of delivering against targets within a regulated framework
• Able to generate leads and build pipelines autonomously
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Eligibility to work in the UK and ability to travel
