Compensation Manager

Overview

In this role, you will lead compensation for the UK and European markets, shaping salary structures and pay programs to support recruitment, promotions, and equity. You will partner with People Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and global teams to drive compliant, consistent pay practices. You’ll own gender pay gap reporting and pay equity initiatives, while contributing to broad compensation projects and process execution. This is a chance to influence compensation strategy across a dynamic, multinational media company and help scale its people programs.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain salary structures for UK & Europe for use by People Business Partner and TA teams
• Collaborate on offers and benchmarking in exceptional cases and for new roles
• Ensure compliance with EU Pay Transparency Directive with Legal and local teams
• Own UK Gender Pay Gap reporting and lead pay equity studies across Europe
• Partner with global compensation on projects from planning to execution (architecture, analysis, benchmarking, pay equity)
• Support core processes (merit, promotions, benchmarking, pay equity) with People Operations and Global Compensation
• Approve Workday compensation transactions (promotions, transfers, changes, data edits)

Key requirements

• Strong experience in compensation and/or HR
• Ability to handle confidential data with professionalism
• Advanced MS Office or Google Suite skills
• Experience with Workday and incentive plans
• Proven ability to produce detailed reports for decision-making
• Curiosity about integrating AI readiness into People processes
• Strong analytical, research, problem-solving and project management skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship building
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global environment across time zones
