Supply Chain Subcontract Management – Manager

Overview

In this role, you will manage subcontract contracts and amendments to ensure value for money and risk protection, while developing the warship support supply chain to enable efficient operations. You will partner with the Ship Repair Procurement team and stakeholders to deliver cost-effective, quality-focused terms. The position emphasizes strong supplier relationships, effective communications, and continuous improvement of the procurement function. Responsibilities

• Manage contracts and amendments for subcontracted services and enabling agreements to ensure value-for-money and risk mitigation
• Collaborate with Ship Repair Procurement and stakeholders to deliver optimal terms balancing cost, risk, and quality
• Select make/buy options and implement supplier solutions from Category teams for agile deployment
• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships and manage expectations against schedule, cost and quality targets
• Lead communications and engagement with employees and suppliers to foster openness and two-way feedback
• Promote learning and knowledge sharing for an integrated, efficient operation
• Focus on Supplier/Customer Relationship Management as a central priority
• Monitor internal resource requirements and identify non-value-add activities to improve efficiency and enable dual sourcing or growth initiatives

Key requirements

• Broad Supply Chain knowledge and business acumen including market and competitor awareness
• Process and performance knowledge to develop the function using enabling technologies
• Operational understanding of aftermarket or repair activities
• MCIPS or Engineering/Commercial qualification
• Experience implementing supplier initiatives in operational delivery and dual sourcing
