Migration Consultant (Education Managed Services)

Overview

As an Education Migration Consultant, you guide education customers through moving from desktop to cloud-based IRIS solutions, ensuring data accuracy and payroll integrity. You act as a trusted advisor, coordinating with payroll, HR, support, and managed services to deliver a smooth migration and positive customer experience. You will contribute to a large cloud adoption program that transforms how schools and accountancy firms operate, making a tangible impact on customer success and business growth.

Responsibilities

• Support education customers moving from desktop software to cloud-based solutions
• Prepare and validate customer payroll and HR data for migration
• Carry out payroll parallel runs, reconciliations, and validation activities
• Identify and resolve discrepancies to ensure successful migration outcomes
• Deliver training and support to both customers and internal stakeholders
• Work collaboratively with payroll, HR, support, and project teams to achieve successful customer outcomes

Key requirements

• Experience within Education Payroll
• Knowledge of pensions, HR legislation, and Auto Enrolment
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and relationship building abilities
• A proactive and organised approach to managing customer projects
• Experience working in a customer focused or consultancy environment
• Exposure to IRIS Payroll software would be advantageous
• A CIPP qualification or equivalent would be desirable
• Knowledge of cloud migration concepts (implicit)
