Overview
In this role you will apply your extensive psychological expertise within integrated community care to support adults with mental health difficulties. You’ll join multidisciplinary teams across two service areas, contributing to service development, leadership, and research, while delivering clinical work. The post supports NHS Long Term Plan ambitions and opportunities to specialise in personality disorders and to influence community services. You will engage in supervision, training, and cross-team collaboration to drive impact.
Responsibilities
- Conduct complex case assessment and psychological formulation for adults with mental health needs
- Deliver evidence-based psychological interventions individually and in groups
- Provide consultation, supervision and training within a multidisciplinary team
- Lead service development and contribute to research and teaching activities
- Support transformation of community services within the NHS Long Term Plan
- Work with diverse populations, including BAME communities in deprived areas
Key requirements
- Substantial experience in Secondary Care Mental Health services
- Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment in at least two different care settings
- Experience of teaching, training and/or clinical supervision
- Experience of working with personality difficulties/complex trauma/psychosis
- Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology
- Eligible for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist
