Responsibilities

• Create and execute a long-term roadmap for finance transformation and automation initiatives
• Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance finance processes across the organisation
• Align transformation priorities with business objectives and the Finance function’s future vision
• Champion the adoption of emerging technologies, including AI-driven solutions
• Lead a portfolio of finance change projects from concept to benefits realisation
• Establish governance, controls, and performance measures for successful delivery
• Manage cross-functional programmes across Finance, Technology, Risk, and Operations
• Deliver projects on schedule and within budget with targeted outcomes
• Drive continuous improvement across Financial Control, Product Control, Treasury, Regulatory Reporting, Tax, Procurement, and FP&A
• Standardise processes, controls, and best practices across teams and jurisdictions
• Foster a culture of innovation and efficiency within the Finance division
• Lead finance systems enhancement, implementation, and replacement programmes
• Improve finance data quality, governance, and accessibility for informed decision-making
• Partner with technology teams to deliver scalable solutions for reporting and controls
• Monitor and report on outcomes and benefits with robust risk and regulatory governance
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and provide clear progress communication

Key requirements

• Fully qualified accountant with 10+ years in a similar role
• Extensive Banking sector experience
• Proven track record in finance transformation, change, or strategic improvement programmes
• Strong understanding of finance processes, controls, systems, and regulatory requirements
• Demonstrated success delivering complex change in a regulated environment
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with influence at all levels
• Experience working across Finance and Technology to deliver business-led solutions
• Knowledge of automation, finance technology, and data-driven transformation approaches
