AI Principal Architect

Overview

As Principal AI Architect you will lead the architecture for high-value AI pursuits, translating business problems into enterprise-grade AI solutions across models, data, integration, security, and operations. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to shape differentiated, scalable architectures that can move from prototype to production. You will guide technical storytelling, reviews, and governance while mentoring architects and surfacing risks early. This role focuses on strategic impact, road-mapping capability, and accelerating AI-driven transformation for clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture for complex AI pursuits from discovery to win
• Act as senior technical advisor to executives and pursuit teams
• Translate business problems into enterprise-grade AI solution designs including data, model, and governance
• Shape solution strategy across NTT DATA capabilities and partner technologies
• Create reusable architecture patterns, POVs, accelerators, and differentiated narratives
• Conduct technical solution reviews and mitigate delivery risk
• Guide PoC and MVP design for scalable production programs
• Mentor AI Solution Architects and support capability-building
• Surface architecture gaps, delivery risks, and emerging technology needs to AI GTM leadership

Key requirements

• 12+ years in enterprise/solution architecture, technology consulting, systems integration, or related roles
• 5+ years designing or delivering AI, data science, ML, advanced analytics, or intelligent automation solutions
• 2+ years hands-on or architecture experience with GenAI, LLMs, RAG, AI agents, or enterprise AI platforms
• Deep understanding of AI architecture aspects (data readiness, security, governance, scalability, observability)
• Experience leading architecture for complex client pursuits or multi-tower tech solutions
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
