Project Manager – Leeds

Overview

In this role you will lead construction projects from inception to completion within a growing, client-focused consultancy. You will work closely with senior colleagues to deliver across multiple sectors, taking ownership of key activities and developing your commercial and technical expertise. The position offers exposure to high-profile projects and a clear path towards senior leadership, supported by a collaborative team culture. You will help drive successful project governance, procurement and client relationships, contributing to the firm’s reputation and client outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of construction projects across multiple sectors
• Manage project programmes, budgets, risks and key deliverables
• Coordinate consultants, contractors and wider project teams
• Act as a main client contact and build professional relationships
• Assist with procurement, contract administration and Employer’s Agent duties
• Monitor progress, prepare reports and attend site meetings
• Support design management, governance and risk management
• Collaborate with Cost Managers to achieve commercial outcomes
• Contribute to fee proposals, bids and new business opportunities
• Take increasing ownership of projects over time

Key requirements

• Experience as a Project Manager in construction or a property consultancy
• A relevant degree in Construction Project Management, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying or related discipline
• MRICS qualification, or intention to pursue chartership
• Experience delivering construction projects through lifecycle stages
• Knowledge of contracts, procurement and project management processes
• Strong communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills
• Proactive, detail-oriented with commitment to client service
• Ambition to progress to Senior Project Manager and leadership roles
