Mechanical Site Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead the HVAC fit-out for a Manchester-based new build project within an established M&E contractor. You’ll work with the broader management team to ensure on-time delivery and cost effectiveness, coordinating internal labor and subcontractors. The position offers development opportunities as you expand responsibilities on high-profile projects. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape mechanical delivery and performance on prestigious schemes.

Responsibilities

• Manage the HVAC fit-out elements of the project
• Support operations manager by raising issues as needed
• Source quotes to keep supply costs competitive
• Technical liaison with clients, suppliers and subcontractors
• Attend meetings and site visits as required
• Learn and follow site management procedures
• Develop the role and expand responsibilities over time

Key requirements

• Experience on projects with M&E value from 3,000,000 upwards
• Proficiency with Microsoft packages and ability to read/interpret drawings
• Mechanical building services background
• Experience supervising subcontractors and suppliers
• Strong communication skills across all levels
• NVQ, HNC or related qualifications desirable but not essential
