Technical Scrum Master : Data Migrations (DnA to EDP)

Overview

In this contract role, you will enable a cross-functional team to migrate data and curated data products from a legacy platform to an Enterprise Data Platform on Databricks in Azure. You’ll lead with a Lean-Agile mindset, balancing support and challenge to help teams continuously improve. You’ll mentor and coach data engineers, QA, and business analysts, while shaping agile ways of working across the program. You’ll drive alignment between strategy and execution and foster a safe, collaborative environment. This opportunity lets you influence data-enabled decision making in a global energy context.

Responsibilities

• Organise and enable a cross-functional data/migration team (Data Engineers, QA, Business Analysts) to migrate data to the Enterprise Data Platform on Databricks in Azure
• Embed and coach agile practices across teams, enabling Lean-Agile mindset and continuous improvement
• Mentor teams through Agile transitions and new ways of working; support discovery and definition phases
• Facilitate Team of Teams events (retrospectives, story mapping, value stream mapping, Scrum of Scrums) and ensure cadence alignment
• Maintain Lean/Kanban metrics and generate Agile project reports (e.g., Jira queries, planned vs earned value)
• Promote psychological safety and an engaging space for collaboration and agility maturity assessments
• Collaborate with the platform vertical lead to align strategy and execution
• Align with cross-functional stakeholders (product owners, PM, UX, engineering managers) to deliver data migration goals

Key requirements

• Previous industry experience in trading within financial services and/or energy trading
• Knowledge of ETRMs (Energy Trading Risk Management) systems
• Prior experience in Data Warehousing and Data Migration
• Technical experience with Databricks, Unity Catalog and Delta Sharing
• Ability to use market-standard Agile tools
• Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills; self-starter with initiative
• Ability to work in a large, globally dispersed project team in a multicultural environment
