Events Operations Manager

Overview

In this role you oversee the day-to-day operations of meetings and events at Raffles London OWO, ensuring guest expectations are exceeded and service targets are met. You coordinate with planning, kitchen, bar, and events teams to deliver seamless experiences. You lead pre-service briefings and partner with planners, sales, and clients to manage changes with agility. You work to pre-empt guest needs and maintain strong, proactive communication. This is a pivotal role in shaping memorable events within a luxury environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment readiness and ensure service standards for events
• Monitor staffing levels to deliver optimal guest experience
• Provide necessary supplies and uniforms to staff
• Coordinate floor plans and Banquet Event Orders with Planning and Sales
• Promote sales opportunities within the department
• Serve as first point of contact for clients during events and liaise with them for satisfaction
• Lead pre-service team briefings and ensure cross-department communication
• Perform additional duties as required, potentially in other departments

Key requirements

• Fully conversant with Microsoft Office
• Proven track record of delivering high service levels under pressure
• Exceptional written and spoken communication and customer service skills
• Strong time management and multi-tasking abilities
• Willingness to work within a 24h operational schedule when required
• Experience in a luxury hotel environment (desirable)
• Ability to plan team tasks in line with client requirements
