Management Accountant

Overview

In this role you will lead the month-end close and management reporting across the Group, delivering accurate journals and balance sheet reconciliations while producing timely forecasts and insightful variance commentary. You will partner with Heads of Department to provide financial insight and drive better decision-making. The role emphasizes continuous improvement, standardisation, and automation within a supportive Finance team.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end month-end close and management reporting across the Group
• Prepare accurate journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
• Deliver timely forecasts and variance analysis with clear commentary
• Act as a finance business partner to Heads of Department
• Provide robust analysis and challenge to support decisions
• Promote best practices, standardisation and automation within the team
• Support the Finance Manager in key activities

Key requirements

• Part qualified or studying towards ACCA, CIMA (or similar finance qualification)
• General bookkeeping experience
• Month-end close experience
• Experience producing variance analysis with insightful commentary
• Budget preparation
• High competency in MS Excel and Word (Pivot, Vlookup, Sumifs)
• Dynamic 365 system experience
