HVAC Engineer

Overview

In this role you will maintain and support HVAC systems across the estate, ensuring reliable operation and compliance with contractual and safety standards. You will work within the estates team to deliver proactive and reactive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs, supporting a safe, patient- and staff-focused healthcare environment. You’ll document work and update CAFM systems to keep assets and records current. This position offers development opportunities and a direct impact on service quality in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily reactive and scheduled maintenance of HVAC systems across the estate
• Perform diagnostic checks, fault finding and repairs using multi-skilled expertise
• Ensure asset maintenance aligns with contractual requirements, HTMs, HBMs and manufacturer instructions
• Accurately complete work-related documentation and update CAFM systems promptly
• Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards

Key requirements

• Recognised trade training scheme to NVQ Level 2 minimum (or equivalent) in plumbing or mechanical engineering
• Experience in a maintenance environment, healthcare experience advantageous
