Business Risk Officer – Vice President

Overview

In this role you will plan, execute, and report on control testing for Citi’s Markets Trading and Sales activities. You will coach a team within the 1LOD Markets Controls Testing function, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality testing outputs. You will challenge control designs and support remediation discussions with front office, risk, and compliance stakeholders. This is a chance to shape a robust control framework at a global scale and contribute to risk-aware decision making.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and report control testing results
• Coach and develop junior testers
• Monitor testing programme progress against timelines and escalate obstacles
• Maintain high standards for testing execution
• Challenge stakeholders on control design and effectiveness
• Support remediation discussions for identified controls
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships across Front Office, Markets Conduct Risk, Compliance and Operational Risk
• Present impactful testing outputs to stakeholders
• Provide markets controls subject matter expertise across all three lines of defence

Key requirements

• Relevant experience in front office controls testing, internal/external audits, or similar
• Understanding of markets activities and related regulations
• Knowledge of market operations risks and controls for trading and sales
• Strong understanding of control design assessment and testing techniques
• Experience coaching and developing team members
• Experience leading a team with attention to detail
• Experience building senior stakeholder relationships
• Proven ability to provide constructive risk management challenge to senior stakeholders
