Overview

In this role you will lead Octopus’ UK data commercial team, acting as a strategic partner to Commercial, Sales, Marketing and Energy Markets. You will turn data into actionable insights that shape pricing, growth, and competitive strategy, while coordinating global data efforts. You’ll guide senior stakeholders with clear analytics, dashboards, and KPIs that reflect business impact. Responsibilities

• Lead and prioritise work of a high-performance data analytics team in the UK
• Conduct strategic analytics to understand customers and competitors and influence UK/global strategy
• Enable responsive pricing operations with compliant, competitive price changes
• Define and communicate KPIs and dashboards to illuminate key drivers across the business
• Coordinate global data teams, balancing local needs with global opportunities

Key requirements

• Experience as a manager of a high-performing data team
• Hands-on expertise with SQL and Python
• Strong communication skills to influence non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership
• Strong commercial acumen in pricing, margin optimisation, and/or growth analytics
• Track record of delivering actionable insights that drive measurable business impact
