Technical Systems Engineer

Overview

As a member of Cisco’s Integrated Platforms team within WPA, you will design and build AI-enabled self-service portals for Email, M365, and Google, reducing manual work in a hybrid environment. You’ll architect scalable, full‑stack apps and orchestrate AI agents to deliver a unified, intelligent user experience. You’ll collaborate across teams to translate requirements into automated, secure solutions and drive the Zero Ops vision. This is a high-impact role that shapes how employees interact with enterprise technology and AI-assisted workflows.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop self-service portals and automated workflows for Email, M365, and Google ecosystems
• Integrate AI capabilities and MCP servers to enable intelligent self-healing systems
• Design and maintain secure, scalable full-stack applications with UX/UI focus
• Implement robust CI/CD pipelines to automate engineering and operations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of related experience, or Master’s +4, or PhD +1 (or equivalent work experience)
• Knowledge of M365, Google Workspace and Cloud Platform, email technology, Microsoft Purview and Defender
• Proven track record in full-stack software engineering and enterprise service APIs
• Experience building AI-based self-service portals with RAG and prompt engineering
• Proficiency in Python/FastAPI, Node.js/TypeScript, React
• Experience integrating with Microsoft Graph API and Google APIs and implementing OAuth 2.0/Entra ID authentication
• Strong DB experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL; API integration (REST/JDBC)
