Quantity Surveyor

Overview

As a Quantity Surveyor in our property development team, you will shape budgets and cost reporting across UK dealership projects. You’ll partner with Project Managers and senior leaders to keep costs aligned with budgets and add value through accurate final accounts. This role offers exposure to a diverse property portfolio and the chance to influence project financials and procurement. Responsibilities

• Produce accurate construction budgets for property development projects
• Generate monthly cost reports to monitor capital expenditure and budgets
• Complete final accounts and financial reporting to Head of Treasury
• Lead QS activities: advise on contract issues, valuations, variations, final accounts
• Monitor historical cost data to improve budget accuracy
• Assist with tendering and procurement, coordinating with PQS and Project Managers

Key requirements

• 3+ years in a Commercial/Quantity Surveying role
• BSc(Hons) in Quantity Surveying
• Contract Management experience (JCT D&B and Minor Works)
• Budgeting and Estimating expertise
• Cost Management and Reporting
• Valuations, change management and control
• Procurement and estimating proficiency
• Excellent knowledge of commercial construction; motor retail experience advantageous but not essential
• RICS qualification preferred but not essential
• IT literate with strong reporting and presentation skills
• Ability to work to deadlines and communicate effectively
