Finance Analyst

Overview

In this role, you will support the Core Costs area of Financial Accounting by delivering timely monthly actuals and maintaining balance sheet integrity. You’ll provide insights to stakeholders across the business and help drive finance initiatives. You will work closely with the wider Finance team to ensure accurate reporting, assist audits, and update policies and controls. This is a hands-on position that combines analysis, planning, and cross-functional collaboration to support ASOS’s financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver monthly actuals including accruals and prepayments; analyse variances vs forecasts and prior periods
• Record professional fees, travel costs, payroll and partnering entries; review GRNI for aged balances
• Produce monthly reporting and highlight key trends to Senior Finance Analyst and Finance Manager
• Collaborate with wider Finance and other stakeholders across the business
• Support current initiatives and ad hoc projects within the finance team
• Prepare and optimise balance sheet reconciliations; ensure accuracy and compliance with reporting standards
• Assists in interim and year-end audits with timely, auditable documentation
• Update accounting policies and process notes; identify control weaknesses and report to management

Key requirements

• Part way through accounting qualification (CIMA or ACCA)
• Able to plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines
• Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in data
