Mid/Senior Associate – Asset-Backed Finance

Overview

In this role you will join Freshfields’ Global M&A and Capital (GMAC) practice in London as a mid or senior associate focusing on asset-backed finance. You work on complex, cross-border securitisation and structured finance transactions, shaping innovative funding solutions for banks, asset managers and corporates. You collaborate with top-tier colleagues across jurisdictions to solve challenging legal and commercial problems. Responsibilities

• Work on securitisation, structured finance and asset-backed finance transactions
• Develop new structures and bespoke secured financing arrangements
• Collaborate across practices and jurisdictions on cross-border deals
• Support clients with complex financing solutions and regulatory considerations
• Contribute to deal execution and project management in high-stakes transactions
• Engage with top-tier clients and foster business development

Key requirements

• Qualification in England & Wales or another leading common law jurisdiction
• Several years of experience in a top London finance practice with securitisation/structured finance/asset-backed finance
• Ability to handle complex transactions involving innovative asset classes
• Collaborative mindset with strong people and project management skills
• Interest in developing the business and advising clients
