Application Support Analyst

Overview

In this role you will support the Construction Group Applications across the Wates Group, focusing on construction and engineering software platforms. You’ll act as the primary IT application contact for end users, coordinating incidents, changes, upgrades, and documentation. You’ll work with suppliers and the IT team to ensure smooth delivery of application services and process improvements. This is a hands-on, collaborative position with a clear impact on how project teams access and use critical software. You’ll be empowered to shape how we support and automate key workflows.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support including Incident and Change Management for the IT Application Estate; act as the primary admin contact for business end users
• Manage IT Application upgrade projects with internal and external parties
• Coordinate IT Application updates and maintain support records
• Assist with analysis for business-driven change requests, estimating impact, effort, and high-level cost
• Collaborate with the wider IT team to learn and support existing and new business platforms
• Create and maintain documentation for IT Applications
• Process and manage new requests for IT Applications
• Liaise with suppliers and support partners
• Maintain business relationships with users
• Maintain awareness of Software Licence management

Key requirements

• Solid system/process experience
• Ideally Autodesk, Asta PowerProject and Salesforce experience
• Proficiency in MS Office and SharePoint
• Knowledge of ITIL and IT Best Practice
• Experience with Microsoft Power Automate for workflow automation
• Effective communicator with ability to build relationships across levels
• Process-oriented with strong attention to detail
• Ability to produce clear and concise documentation
