Overview
In this role you lead the technical coordination for the EGL1 onshore cable installation, testing, energisation and commissioning. You will manage interfaces between contractors, designers, suppliers and client representatives, ensuring smooth delivery of critical HV projects. You’ll shape the commissioning strategy and handover with the wider project team, contributing to safe, compliant, and timely project outcomes. This position combines on-site leadership with strong stakeholder management in a major transmission program.
Responsibilities
- Manage technical aspects of EGL1 cable installation, testing and commissioning works.
- Develop and maintain the project Interface Register and technical action trackers.
- Act as the primary contact for technical interface management between contractors, designers, suppliers and client representatives.
- Support development and implementation of cable commissioning strategy, energisation plans and handover requirements.
Key requirements
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Demonstrable experience delivering major infrastructure, transmission, HVDC, power transmission or utility projects
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technical roles
