Project Finance & Development Associate / Senior Associate

Overview

As a Project Finance & Development Associate, you will advise on complex development and financing matters to support high-value projects. You join a highly regarded London practice within an international firm, collaborating with finance, construction and transactional teams. You will draft and negotiate development and construction agreements, manage multi-party transactions, and build direct client relationships. The role offers ownership, specialist exposure, and progression within a leading practice. You’ll work on sophisticated domestic and international projects that shape infrastructure and energy markets.

Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex project development and construction agreements
• Advising on contractual frameworks, risk allocation and project structuring
• Supporting development, financing and delivery of major projects
• Advising on construction-related contractual arrangements and project documentation
• Working on complex, multi-party transactions involving developers, sponsors, lenders and stakeholders
• Collaborating with colleagues across finance, construction and other transactional disciplines
• Managing transaction processes and developing direct client relationships

Key requirements

• Approximately 4–6+ years’ PQE in projects, construction or finance
• Experience advising on project development and construction arrangements
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and transactional skills
• Understanding of project finance structures and commercial considerations for major projects
• Experience coordinating complex transactions and multiple stakeholders
• Strong commercial awareness, communication skills and attention to detail
• Background in non-contentious construction and project development with project finance exposure
