Senior Business Analyst – Account & Reference Data Management, Officer

Overview

In this role you will drive the analysis and governance of account and reference data across the Alpha platform, collaborating with product, architecture, technology, operations, EDM and client teams. You will translate strategic goals into data requirements, operating models and governance controls, and support initiatives like Account Resolution, Automated Account Creation, and Reference Data Services. You’ll shape data quality, lifecycle processes and executive-ready documentation to enable governance, client implementations and operations. This is a high-impact BA role focused on data maturity and automation in asset management.

Responsibilities

• Elicit and document business, operational and data requirements; facilitate cross-functional workshops
• Produce BRDs, functional specs and user stories; map current and target operating models
• Define governance standards and support data lifecycle governance across account master, hierarchies, benchmark relationships, security-to-account links, and data lineage
• Support development of Account Resolution services, automated account creation, shell account governance and enrichment workflows
• Define data quality controls, validation rules and remediation workflows; analyze data integrity issues and identify automation opportunities
• Create SOPs, operating handbooks, service definitions and process flows; deliver executive-ready governance documentation
• Define KPIs and dashboards requirements for Power BI; support dashboard and reporting needs across account health, data quality and exception management
• Coordinate testing, change management and implementation planning; contribute to roadmap prioritisation and delivery

Key requirements

• 3-5 years as a Business Analyst in Asset Management, Financial Data Management or Investment Operations
• Strong understanding of account and reference data concepts
• Experience with Security Master, Account Master or Reference Data platforms
• Experience documenting operating models and business processes
• Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall project delivery
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
