MCQUEEN Collection Development Manager, RTW

Overview

In this role, you lead the menswear product development across multiple categories, ensuring design intent is translated into production-ready specifications. You bridge the London design teams with Italian product development, aligning milestones, costs, and quality. You own data accuracy for the categories in Kubix and partner with Merchandising on range and pricing. You drive cross-functional collaboration to maintain McQueen’s craftsmanship and innovation while improving development processes and timelines. You will shape product excellence in a fast-paced, creative environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between Design and Product Development (Italy) for collection development
• Lead collection development milestones, cost frameworks, and quality standards
• Own data integrity for categories in Kubix (design specs, fabrics, tech details)
• Collaborate with Merchandising on range, balance, and pricing during development
• Translate design direction into technical documentation for stakeholders
• Anticipate and mitigate bottlenecks between design, Product Development, and production
• Foster cross-functional coordination between London design and Italian Product Development
• Contribute to continuous improvement of tools, processes, and communication
• Occasionally take on additional categories/projects as collections evolve

Key requirements

• Proven experience in luxury or premium fashion, in a collection or product development management role
• Deep understanding of menswear construction; strong knowledge of denim and leather products and development timelines
• Strong knowledge of PLM systems (Kubix) and ability to maintain detailed technical docs
• Exceptional cross-functional communication with diplomacy and influence across creative and technical teams
• Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail; ability to manage multiple workstreams
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in CAD software and technical design tools
• Fluent in English and good command of Italian
