Overview
In this role, you will support CME Group’s Clearing House operations, focusing on risk and systems for weekend coverage of Event Contracts and related initiatives. You will collaborate with internal teams and external market participants to strengthen clearing processes and risk governance. You’ll help design clearing system approaches, monitor operational risk, and drive timely fixes within SLAs. Responsibilities
- Provide support to clearing member firms, customers and business partners on CME Group’s product offering and clearing systems
- Escalate and troubleshoot customer-impacting events with technology teams to deliver timely fixes within SLAs
- Contribute to improvements in risk management practices and the Clearing House’s operational risk framework
- Collaborate with global teammates on new initiatives and projects
- Strategically plan and design clearing systems; develop operational risk governance documents
- Monitor risk and systems for the Event Contracts suite over weekends
Key requirements
- 1-2 years experience with listed derivatives, Treasury Securities, Repo markets, or OTC products at a clearing house, FCM, or trading firm
- Securities clearing and Operational Risk management experience preferred
- Strong experience in Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, macros)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- MS/BS in Finance, Economics, or related field
