Software Engineer – Graph Analytics

Overview

In this role you work on Neo4j’s high-performance cloud platform for graph algorithms and ML, bridging on-premise and cloud solutions. You will contribute to the Graph Data Science ecosystem and Aura integrations while improving observability and data transfer. You’ll write and optimize code across Java, Go and Python, collaborate across teams, and explore research areas to tackle client challenges. This is a hands-on role with a strong impact on how customers deploy and use our platform to drive insights.

Responsibilities

• Improve Graph Data Science platform integrations with Neo4j Aura
• Develop features bridging on-premise and cloud solutions
• Write Java, Go and Python code emphasizing usability and scalability
• Enhance observability of cloud systems
• Collaborate in a cross-functional engineering team
• Identify and integrate new research areas to solve customer problems
• Partner with other Neo4j teams to ensure core database interoperability

Key requirements

• Interest in JVM or system programming languages (C, C++, Rust) and willingness to learn Java, Go, Python
• Interest or experience in Kubernetes and cloud computing
• Familiarity with graph theory
• Creativity and self-motivation to drive ideas
• Willingness to work in a distributed, remote-first team
• Master in Computer Science or related field or 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
