Senior Lead, Accounts Payable

Overview

In this role you will manage the EMEA AP ledger and ensure accuracy, collaborating with offshore teams and internal partners to secure timely supplier payments. You will drive reconciliations, process improvements, and month-end support within a global finance environment. You contribute to a continuous-improvement culture and help maintain uninterrupted supplier service across time zones. Responsibilities

• Oversee the EMEA AP ledger for accuracy and completeness
• Perform vendor and statement reconciliations and lead variance-resolution meetings
• Coordinate with third-party utilities contract management to ensure proper invoicing and refunds
• Act as regional AP point of contact for offshore teams; resolve queries and provide training
• Collaborate with treasury to ensure timely supplier payments and flag urgent spend
• Support month-end close as AP liaison; identify accruals for supplier issues
• Serve as main contact for internal regional teams; manage escalations for uninterrupted service
• Contribute to system improvements, process optimization, and P2P streamlining
• Regularly review aged invoices and unreconciled cash lines and take necessary actions

Key requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Accounts Payable in a multi-currency, global environment
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience
• Experience working across time zones, cultures, and languages
• Strong attention to detail and fast, accurate data entry into financial systems
• Effective communicator with ability to build cross-functional relationships
• Ability to multi-task with urgency and adapt to continuous improvement environments
