Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer II at Rightmove, you will help build and evolve the core search experience that powers millions of property decisions. You’ll work within a collaborative, high-performing engineering community to deliver reliable, scalable software and influence technical direction. You’ll partner with Product, Design and Engineering to solve real-world challenges at scale, while mentoring others and advancing quality through modern practices. This role offers the chance to shape discovery experiences and push for continuous improvement in a mission-driven proptech environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve products using TypeScript, React, Express, Node.js, Kubernetes and GitLab
• Deliver high-quality software released safely and frequently to production
• Partner with Product, Design and Engineering to solve complex challenges
• Influence technical direction and shape sprint work
• Design scalable, resilient systems with Architects and Principal Engineers
• Contribute to engineering standards and best practices across Rightmove
• Coach and mentor fellow engineers to support growth
• Collaborate via code reviews and technical discussions to improve quality
• Experiment with new technologies and approaches to increase value
