Operations Director – Healthcare

Overview

As Operations Director for the Central & South West Sustainal FM team, you will shape regional strategy and lead the delivery of complex PFI healthcare contracts. You’ll own portfolio performance, manage customer relationships, risk and hand-back readiness, and drive COBP audits with Legal, Commercial and Projects partners. You’ll influence SLT-level goals and nurture a high-performance, collaborative culture across multiple contracts. This role offers strategic impact in a national energy/services group with a healthcare focus.

Responsibilities

• P&L ownership for a portfolio of healthcare FM contracts
• Set and execute regional strategy within the SLT
• Drive profitability and risk management across the region
• Strengthen customer relationships and secure long-term opportunities
• Ensure compliance with statutory and company practices across service lines
• Lead hand-back activities and COBP audits for PFI contracts
• Guide operational leads to foster performance culture and engagement
• Develop a talent pipeline and successors across the portfolio
• Collaborate with BD to create objectives and growth plans
• Improve delivery plans and influence wider EQUANS programs

Key requirements

• Director-level experience delivering FM and/or outsourced solutions under PFI
• Healthcare sector experience including investor and client engagement
• Proven ability to lead PFI handback activities and COBP audits
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with multi-client P&L management
• Excellent presentation, influencing, and motivational skills
• Inspirational leader able to work in a matrix organization
