Responsibilities

• Manage a broad docket of commercial property matters (freehold/leasehold acquisitions and disposals)
• Handle commercial property sales/purchases, including portfolio transactions
• Oversee secured lending and refinancing matters
• Conduct landlord and tenant work (grants, assignments, renewals, licences)
• Manage development site transactions and pension property matters
• Draft/advise on joint venture agreements
• Provide property support on corporate and business transactions
• Mentor and supervise junior lawyers and support staff
• Drive business development and client relationship building
• Contribute to leadership and strategic success of the team

Key requirements

• Qualified Solicitor, FCILEx or equivalent
• Extensive experience in a broad range of commercial property matters
• Strong technical expertise in acquisitions, disposals, L&T and portfolio work
• Experience supervising or leading legal teams
• Excellent client relationship and communication skills
• Commercially minded with proactive business development approach
• Proficient with legal technology and case management systems
