Software Engineer

Overview

In this role you will develop secure, high-performance software for mission-critical environments using C++ and Rust. You’ll contribute across the full software lifecycle, from concept to deployment, in a collaborative Agile team. Expect work on secure networking, Linux-based applications, and low-level system challenges with an emphasis on quality, reliability, and security. You’ll gain exposure to cutting-edge security technologies and grow your specialist expertise in a fast-moving cyber security domain.

Responsibilities

• Develop software using modern C++ and Rust technologies
• Build secure applications within Linux-based environments
• Work across low-level systems, networking and security-focused platforms
• Contribute to product development from concept through to deployment
• Collaborate with engineers using Agile development practices
• Support continuous improvement through testing, code reviews and engineering best practice
• Work on projects requiring high levels of quality, reliability and security

Key requirements

• Commercial Software Engineering experience
• Strong experience with C++ and/or Rust
• Experience working within Linux environments
• Knowledge of Python would be advantageous
• Exposure to embedded systems, networking or security technologies is beneficial
• Experience with cloud technologies is desirable
• Strong communication and collaborative working style
• Eligibility for UK Security Clearance
