Overview

As Health, Safety & Environmental Manager, you will oversee HSE across multiple projects in the Southwest, ensuring legal compliance and alignment with client and company standards. You will promote best practice, drive continuous improvement, and support high-risk activities with the delivery team. You’ll lead safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations, while elevating HSE awareness and behavioural safety. This role offers exposure to large-value schemes and a clear progression path within a safety-focused contractor environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with legal standards, client expectations, and company standards
• Support planning and delivery teams on high-risk activities
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits
• Provide incident/near-miss investigation support and guidance
• Promote HSE awareness and behavioural safety improvements

Key requirements

• Experience in a similar role on high-value schemes preferred
• Background stepping up from HSE Advisor to Manager is acceptable
