Senior Process Engineer – Clean Water

Overview

In this Senior Process Engineer role, you will lead the design and delivery of Clean Water projects, shaping solutions across early design to delivery stages. You will work with clients and multidisciplinary teams to develop robust treatment options and ensure project requirements are met. The position emphasizes technical judgement, knowledge sharing, and capability development within the North West team. You will contribute to sustainable water supplies and resilient infrastructure, supported by a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver Clean Water process solutions across project stages
• Prepare and review process calculations, specifications, design docs and reports
• Support optioneering and feasibility assessments and resolve technical issues
• Coordinate inputs with project managers, clients and other engineers to ensure high-quality outputs
• Share knowledge, mentor developing engineers, and contribute to technical proposals and wider business opportunities
• Strengthen Stantec’s process engineering capability across the North West

Key requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or related discipline
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (CEng or IEng) or actively working towards registration
• Experience delivering process engineering design for Clean Water projects
• Good understanding of water treatment processes and engineering principles
• Experience preparing process calculations, technical reports and design documentation
• Ability to manage technical tasks and work within multidisciplinary teams
• Knowledge of UK water industry standards and design requirements
