Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.
On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Technical Business Analyst for a 12 month contract based in London with remote work available (Hybrid).
Purpose of the role:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to support regulatory change initiatives across a critical customer onboarding platform. Working at the intersection of technology, compliance and delivery, you will play a key role in ensuring the platform remains aligned with evolving regulatory requirements including and other emerging regulatory frameworks.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded analyst who can translate complex regulatory requirements into practical technology solutions, working closely with Engineering, Architecture, Security, Compliance and external vendors.
What you’ll do:
- Analyse and assess the impact of new and emerging regulations on the customer onboarding platform and associated technology landscape.
- Define technical requirements, solution options and implementation approaches to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
- Evaluate impacts across applications, integrations, APIs, workflows, identity verification services, authentication processes and customer journeys.
- Produce clear technical specifications, impact assessments, requirements documentation and delivery artefacts.
- Work closely with Engineering and Architecture teams to design and implement compliant technology solutions.
- Support backlog definition, prioritisation and delivery planning across multiple change initiatives.
- Identify and manage dependencies across internal teams, third-party vendors and regulatory stakeholders.
- Contribute to solution discussions, ensuring regulatory requirements are Embedded within technology designs from inception through to delivery.
The skills you’ll need:
- Proven experience working as a Technical Business Analyst, Technical Analyst or Regulatory Change Analyst within complex technology environments.
- Strong experience translating regulatory, compliance or business requirements into technical specifications and delivery outcomes.
- Experience assessing impacts across applications, APIs, system integrations, data models and business workflows.
- Ability to work effectively with Engineering, Architecture, Security and Compliance stakeholders.
- Strong documentation skills, including requirements gathering, impact assessments and solution design artefacts.
- Experience supporting onboarding, identity verification or customer life cycle management platforms.
- Financial Services or highly regulated industry experience.
