Financial Controller

Overview

In this role, you lead the finance function for a growth-focused, values-driven Wiltshire business during a key transformation period. You will oversee budgeting, forecasting and strategic financial planning, and deliver robust financial reporting to the board while driving profitability. You’ll partner with senior stakeholders to improve performance, mentor the finance team, and advance process improvements and digital initiatives. This hands-on leadership position offers meaningful impact in shaping financial strategy and sustainability efforts.

Responsibilities

• Budgeting, forecasting and strategic financial planning
• Monthly management accounts, board reporting and KPI analysis
• Cashflow management, statutory accounts, tax and VAT compliance
• Business partnering with senior stakeholders to drive performance and profitability
• Leading, developing and mentoring a finance team
• Driving process improvement, digital transformation and operational efficiencies
• Supporting sustainability initiatives, business projects and commercial decision-making

Key requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Experience at Financial Controller level
• Strong leadership skills
• Excellent commercial acumen
• Hands-on, proactive and capable of cross-functional collaboration
