Head of MathsMoore Teachers is working with a large and ambitious secondary school that provides a supportive learning environment where students are encouraged to achieve high standards and develop confidence in their learning. The school serves pupils aged 11-18 and is committed to delivering a broad and engaging curriculum.

The role:

• Leading and developing the Maths department
• Teaching Mathematics across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially Key Stage 5
• Driving high standards of teaching, learning, and achievement
• Supporting, mentoring, and developing departmental staff
• Monitoring student progress and implementing strategies to raise attainment
• Contributing to the wider leadership and development of the school

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Have a proven track record of successful Maths teaching at secondary level
• Demonstrate strong leadership and management skills
• Be passionate about achieving excellent outcomes for students
• Have the ability to inspire both students and colleagues
• Be organised, ambitious, and committed to continuous improvement
