Job Title : Senior Conceptual Art Director

We’re working with an independent healthcare communications agency to find a Senior Conceptual Art Director with a passion for big ideas and a strong understanding of pharma.
This is a genuinely conceptual role, focused on developing campaign ideas alongside writers. It’s not a design-led Art Director position, so your portfolio should show the strength of your thinking and the campaigns you’ve helped shape.
Alongside your own creative work, you’ll be a day-to-day mentor and sounding board for the wider team. The agency is looking for someone who can support and develop the people around them, while working closely with the leadership team.
What you’ll be doing
- Developing original campaign concepts for healthcare and pharma clients
- Working in partnership with writers to turn strong thinking into compelling creative
- Helping communicate and sell in ideas, using AI where it can support the process
- Sharing your experience with the team and providing day-to-day creative guidance
- Supporting a collaborative, thoughtful and ambitious creative culture
What we’re looking for
- Experience in pharma or healthcare communications
- A portfolio that demonstrates big campaign ideas and conceptual thinking
- Experience working as part of a writer and Art Director team
- Confidence presenting and bringing creative ideas to life
- Curiosity about AI and how it can help communicate ideas
- A genuine interest in mentoring and helping others develop
The agency is also open to strong midweight Art Directors who are ready to take the step into their first senior role, provided they have the right conceptual and sector experience.
