I am working with an independant family owned company looking for an ambitious Dispensing Optician to join their Addlestone practice as Branch Manager. Whether you’ve already gained some supervisory experience or you’re ready for your first management position, we’ll receive the support, training, and development needed to help you succeed. This role offers the chance to become a familiar face for patients and colleagues alike, building meaningful long-term relationships and creating an environment where both customers and team members feel valued and supported. You’ll play a key role in shaping the culture, performance, and patient experience within the practice, making a genuine difference every day.
Working within a dedicated single clinic team, you’ll have the autonomy to influence how the practice operates while receiving ongoing support from experienced leaders across the wider business. You’ll be empowered to develop your leadership skills, drive performance, and help your team reach their full potential.
Through mentoring, training, and ongoing development opportunities, we’ll help you build the confidence and skills needed to grow into a successful manager, while maintaining the patient-focused approach that sits at the heart of everything we do.
This is a full time position, and will include Saturday working.
Job Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Area Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading the day-to-day operation of the practice while driving growth, engagement, and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, coaching, and motivating your team to deliver exceptional service
- Creating a positive and supportive branch culture
- Building strong customer relationships and ensuring high levels of satisfaction
- Driving branch performance through effective planning and execution
- Monitoring business objectives and identifying opportunities for growth
- Managing branch operations and ensuring excellent standards across all areas
- Supporting colleague learning and development within the practice
- Working closely with your Area Manager to achieve both individual and business goals
Requirements:

You’ll ideally have:
- A Qualified Dispensing Optician qualification
- Full GOC registration
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A positive, proactive approach to leadership
- Commercial awareness and an interest in business performance
- The ability to inspire, motivate, and support others
- A desire to learn, grow, and build a career in management
Previous management experience is welcomed but not essential. What’s most important is your ambition to develop as a leader and your commitment to delivering an outstanding patient experience.
