Project Manager – Long-Term Freelance
Location: Tayside, Scotland
Rate: £33-£35 per hour
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join a construction team delivering projects across Tayside on a long‑term freelance basis.
This role would suit a commercially minded Project Manager with strong site‑based experience and a background in delivering a varied portfolio of construction projects. Experience across commercial developments, student accommodation and residential housing would be particularly desirable.
The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing projects from planning through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and within budget.
The Role
- Managing construction projects from inception through to completion.
- Overseeing day‑to‑day site operations, ensuring works are delivered to the required quality, programme and budget.
- Coordinating subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and internal teams.
- Monitoring project progress, identifying potential risks and implementing effective solutions.
- Managing project costs, commercial performance and reporting.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and relevant quality standards.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
- Driving high standards of workmanship, communication and project delivery.
About You
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry.
- Experience delivering commercial projects, student accommodation and/or residential housing developments.
- Strong site‑based project management experience.
- A good understanding of construction programmes, budgets, subcontractor management and project delivery.
- Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve issues effectively.
- A hands‑on approach, with a strong focus on quality, safety and successful project outcomes.
