Job Description:

At Fundin, we’re on a mission to reshape how charities and non-profits secure funding. Our platform combines AI-powered bid writing with human insight to help charities and nonprofits access more grants, more easily. But we know that tech is only as smart as the people behind it, and that’s where you might come in.

We’re a small, fast-growing startup with a big vision: to build a fairer, easier funding ecosystem. As an early team member, you’ll be joining us at an exciting time, helping shape our systems, tools, and culture as we grow.

The role

We’re looking for a proactive, Business Development Manager to grow Fundin’s user base with charities, non-profits and education. You’ll deliver demos to prospective customers, book those demos through outbound and lead-generation webinars, and grow awareness by building distribution partnerships

This is a genuine opportunity to own a channel from scratch inside an early-stage startup working at the intersection of tech, fundraising, and social impact.

Responsibilities

Deliver Demos: Run engaging platform walkthroughs for potential users, answering their questions and showing how Fundin works.

Manage Interested Leads: Monitor inboxes to quickly engage with replies generated by our automated outreach, turning soft interest into booked demos.

Own the Deal Cycle: Manage opportunities from the initial demo to a signed agreement, following up on proposals and onboarding new managed clients.

Host Lead-Gen Webinars: Deliver group walkthroughs showing how Fundin works to broader audiences.

Build Partnerships: Develop new channels and relationships to drive awareness and revenue for the business.

What We’re Looking For

Experience in the charity sector is preferred but not essential. You may have been a fundraising manager, worked in marketing, or even started your own non-profit. If you have experience in the sector but don’t hit the entire job spec—we would still love to hear from you!

You might be a great fit if you:

  • Are comfortable delivering demos: You feel natural on video calls, guiding people through software and showing how it solves their challenges.
  • Are confident starting conversations: You enjoy building relationships from scratch with new organisations and decision-makers.
  • Keep things organised: You can maintain a healthy pipeline of leads and follow-ups across multiple channels without letting things slip.
  • Are proactive: You aren’t put off by reaching out, picking up the phone, or sending the first message when needed.
  • Care about impact: You genuinely care about the charity sector and helping organisations deliver the greatest impact.

What We Offer Full-Time Employees

  • Holiday Allowance: 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Work Setup: Fully remote with flexible working.
  • Genuine Autonomy: You’ll have the freedom to shape your work, make decisions, and own projects, while knowing the team has your back when you need it.
  • Impactful Work: A mission you can believe in. Every day, you’ll help charities secure the funding they need to do important work in their communities.
  • Great Culture: Expect regular check-ins, open communication, and a culture that values wellbeing just as much as performance.
