Senior Recruitment Consultant: own the client, not the chaos
Remote – Head office in Central London | £35,000–£45,000 base + tiered commission up to 30% | FX, trading & fintech
Most senior recruiters spend half their week chasing candidates for roles they’ve already won. Imagine spending that time winning more.
My client is a specialist recruitment firm that’s been working with global FX brokers and trading businesses for nearly a decade. They’ve made 1,000+ placements across 30+ countries, from C-suite down to specialist hires in sales, compliance, risk, dealing, technology and finance. Now they want an experienced Senior Consultant to help take them further, with particular focus on broader fintech and the US market.
Why this one is different
Their model is split cleanly. You win the client, you own the relationship (permanently, with no handing it over to an account management team), and you qualify the brief. An established in-house resourcing team, organised by region and skill set, then does the searching, runs candidates through the process and handles offers and aftercare. They sit in on qualification calls with you, so nothing gets lost, and they pass leads back to you.
What that means for you:
- More time in front of clients, less time on the phone to candidates.
- Full credit on billings towards your target.
- A delivery team that has already filled these roles before, so you’re never starting cold.
- Daily lead lists dropped into your inbox.
What you’ll be doing
- Winning new clients across FX, trading and fintech, with real scope to open up the US.
- Growing accounts across every department they hire for, worldwide.
- Taking detailed briefs and agreeing search strategy with the delivery team.
- Representing the business at industry expos in places like Cyprus and Dubai.
What you’ll bring
- A proven track record in recruitment business development. You can open doors and turn a first call into a long-term account.
- Ideally experience in financial services, fintech or trading tech, though strong BD skills from a related market will travel.
- US market exposure would be a big plus.
- The confidence to work with light-touch management. There are monthly expectations, not call-time counts.
What’s in it for you
- Up to 45k base plus a tiered commission scheme that rises to 30%.
- A structured promotion plan with two routes: billing all the way to Associate Director, or leadership through to Commercial Director.
- Travel to international expos, with US trips on the table once you’re building clients there.
- A Dubai holiday for hitting 120% of target, plus lunch clubs.
- A small, close team: monthly lunches, quarterly socials (not all in the pub), and summer and Christmas parties.
- Remote/Office (EC3) flexibility
