Job Title: Senior Credit Risk Specialist/Credit Risk Review Consultant

Location: Moorgate, London (50% hybrid)

Role Overview

• We are seeking an experienced Senior Credit Risk Specialist to support a major organisation within the UK financial regulatory sector.
• The successful candidate will lead independent reviews of credit risk management frameworks and credit asset quality across UK retail and SME banking institutions.
• This position requires extensive experience in credit risk management, portfolio analysis, regulatory assessment and the evaluation of credit risk models.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Extensive experience in UK Retail Banking and/or SME Banking credit risk.
• Strong background in Credit Asset Quality Reviews and Credit Risk Management Framework Reviews.
• Credit portfolio risk management experience gained within a bank, financial regulator or similar institution.
• Good understanding of IFRS 9, IRB models, credit stress testing and credit risk forecasting.
• Experience assessing credit provisioning methodologies and loan portfolio quality.
• Strong knowledge of credit risk governance, risk appetite, Three Lines of Defence and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical capabilities.
• Strong stakeholder management, reporting and communication skills.
• Ability to lead independent reviews and communicate findings to senior stakeholders.
• SC security clearance required.
