Project / Senior Civil Engineer

Overview

As a Civil Project Engineer/Senior Civil Engineer in Kent, you will deliver civil infrastructure for development projects across sectors, collaborating with clients, authorities and design teams. You’ll work on highways, drainage and SuDS, with the support of an ICE-approved training path toward Chartered Engineer status. You’ll manage design delivery, engage with stakeholders and apply your technical and project-management skills to keep programmes on track. Responsibilities

• Design development infrastructure (highways, drainage, SuDS)
• Produce road designs to adoptable standards and DMRB
• Prepare technical designs, calculations and engineering information
• Liaise with water authorities, highways and drainage departments
• Use software: Civil 3D, PDS, MicroDrainage, Causeway Flow, AutoCAD
• Attend design meetings, site meetings and conduct site inspections
• Manage workload to meet budgets, deadlines and quality
• Provide technical advice and build client relationships

Key requirements

• Around 4-8 years’ postgraduate experience
• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Experience in civil infrastructure design within a consultancy
• Knowledge of highways, drainage and SuDS design
• Familiarity with Civil 3D, MicroDrainage or similar
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Interest in progressing toward Chartered Engineer status
