IT Category Manager – 70K

Overview

You will own the Technology and IT Services spend, shaping category strategies and leading complex sourcing to unlock value from an international bank’s transformation. Collaborate with global colleagues, consolidate suppliers, and drive cost, quality and compliance improvements. You’ll influence stakeholders, manage budgets, and track supplier performance as part of a broader technology transformation. This is a high-impact role at a company undergoing significant change, offering international exposure and commercial visibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop category strategies aligned with technology priorities and global colleagues
• Lead complex sourcing projects and negotiate robust contracts
• Identify savings and broader value across the contract lifecycle
• Build stakeholder relationships and influence sourcing decisions
• Strengthen supplier performance across cost, quality and compliance
• Support financial planning, forecasting and budget management

Key requirements

• Proven Technology or IT Services procurement experience within a global organisation
• Strong negotiation skills and confidence managing complex contracts
• Commercial judgement with financial insight and stakeholder influence
• Financial Services or regulated-sector experience is advantageous
• CIPS qualification is advantageous
