Overview
Senior Associate in the Professional & Financial Risks team supports complex professional indemnity matters for insurers and professional services clients. You will manage a varied caseload, advise on regulatory issues, and lead business development and client relationships. The role combines litigation, advisory work, and process improvement within a top-ranked firm culture. You will mentor junior colleagues and help scale the team’s impact on outcomes and risk management.

Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of professional indemnity claims and related matters
- Defend liability claims pre- and post-litigation
- Advise on regulatory issues, risk management and Ombudsman complaints
- Handle policy coverage issues for insurers
- Deliver high-quality outputs within SLAs and contribute to process improvements
- Capture management information for clients and support business development
- Coach and develop junior team members
Key requirements
- 1-5 years PQE in professional indemnity litigation
- Strong knowledge of legal procedures and litigation processes
- Ability to deliver legal and commercial solutions collaboratively
- Proven track record of managing and developing client relationships
- Commitment to business development and identifying commercial opportunities
- Commercial mindset with awareness of pricing, resourcing, profitability
- Leadership skills with experience coaching junior team members
- Strong organisational skills and efficiency
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and legal IT systems
