Design Manager – Solar PV

Overview

In this role you will own the technical design delivery for commercial and industrial Solar PV projects, shaping designs from enquiry to fully compliant packs. You will work within Rise’s growing renewables division, influencing design standards as workload expands and delivering end-to-end technical outputs. You’ll lead reviews of ITTs, EPCs and client specs, and produce BoQs, layouts, SLDs and cable sizing while staying aligned with project goals. This is a predominantly desk-based position with remote work, regular office visits, and strong opportunities for technical development and progression.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical review of enquiries, contracts, ITTs and client specifications
• Produce commercially viable Solar PV designs for commercial & industrial projects
• Deliver tender packs: BoQs, proposals, specifications and supporting documentation
• Create technical outputs: layouts, SLDs, string design, cable sizing, AC calculations
• Remote role with monthly Newhaven office visits and site visits as required
