Operational Excellence Manager

Overview

In this role you will drive continuous improvement across the Holbeach pizza and bread site by implementing the Greencore Operating System, boosting productivity and value. You will partner with site teams to embed a culture of excellence and deliver measurable performance gains. The role focuses on data-driven improvements, cross-functional collaboration, and structured problem-solving to support manufacturing strategy. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape operations in a high-volume environment and contribute to Greencore’s broader transformation.

Responsibilities

• Implement the Greencore Operating System across site operations to improve productivity and value
• Embed the Management Control & Reporting Structure (MCRS) into site operations
• Lead and support Kaizen events and improvement projects with measurable outcomes
• Drive site improvement initiatives aligned to manufacturing strategy with quantified gains
• Review end-to-end value chain flows to identify and implement optimized ways of working
• Establish mechanisms to engage colleagues in continuous improvement linked to site engagement plans
• Analyse KPI data, develop reports, evaluate cost savings, and communicate improvement narratives
• Facilitate structured problem-solving activities for operational challenges

Key requirements

• Strong background in food manufacturing in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and CI methodologies
• Experience leading improvement projects delivering measurable results
• Ability to build credible, collaborative relationships and influence across levels
• Confident communicator with experience presenting and facilitating workshops
• Highly organized with strong planning and time management
• Data-driven mindset with capability to translate metrics into action
• Proficient in IT tools used for analysis, reporting, and presentation
