Project Manager (132kv)

Overview

As an Electrical Project Manager, you will lead 132kV turnkey design and build projects within a growing power utilities environment. You will collaborate across ICPs, DNOs, and stakeholders to deliver safe, on-time, quality outcomes while managing budgets and risks. This role supports a diversified portfolio including BESS, solar, industrial and data centre developments, with hybrid work options. You will shape delivery across electrical and civil activities and act as a pivotal link from design to handover. This is a chance to impact large-scale renewables and grid infrastructure at scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of 132kV design and build projects
• Coordinate turnkey projects from design through construction, commissioning and handover
• Collaborate with ICPs, DNOs, contractors and stakeholders
• Ensure safe delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards
• Manage programmes, budgets, risks, resources and technical documentation
• Provide project leadership across electrical and civil engineering activities
• Monitor progress and resolve technical, commercial and operational issues
• Maintain clear communication with clients and stakeholders throughout the lifecycle

Key requirements

• Significant project management experience in power utilities, power distribution or related sector
• Strong knowledge of 132kV systems, infrastructure and delivery requirements
• Experience with ICPs and DNOs
• Background in high-voltage design and build or turnkey projects
• Electrical or civil engineering training, qualifications or equivalent technical experience
• Understanding of BESS, solar, industrial or data centre power projects
• Strong leadership, communication, commercial awareness and problem-solving skills
• Solid knowledge of health and safety, quality assurance and project governance
