Regulatory and Compliance Officer – Nuclear

Overview

As Regulatory and Compliance Officer for HPC, you will support regulatory and governance coordination to enable safe commissioning. You join the CommOps team to align across engineering, operations, and contractors, ensuring activities meet governance and safety standards. You influence stakeholders to drive collaboration and timely readiness for service. This role offers hands-on impact on a high-profile nuclear project at Bridgwater, with a clear impact on regulatory compliance and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with stakeholders across project teams, operations, contractors, and regulatory/licensing functions to support commissioning outcomes
• Coordinate regulatory and compliance activities to ensure alignment with governance requirements and best practices
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify challenges, manage risks, and implement practical solutions
• Facilitate communication, coordination, and alignment across multiple workstreams within the CommOps programme
• Provide guidance inside CommOps to uphold Regulatory safety, quality, and performance standards
• Support monitoring of progress, compliance, and readiness to ensure commitments are delivered safely
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and capture lessons learned for future performance

Key requirements

• Level 3 qualification in Business Administration
• Experience supporting project coordination and delivery in a highly regulated industry
