Automation Quotation Engineer

Overview

In this role you help customers understand automation and digital solutions, supporting sales through the full cycle. You translate requirements into standard or custom automation offerings and develop estimates, while maintaining estimating tools. You will connect customers with engineering across time zones and contribute to Cytiva’s Intelligent Equipment portfolio. This position sits in the Automation and Digital product management team and is an on-site role in the UK or Krakow, Poland. You’ll drive practical, impactful automation projects that support human health.

Responsibilities

• Educate customers on design space for standard Automation & Digital offerings to meet needs and goals
• Assist the commercial sales team in translating customer requirements into product offerings and custom projects
• Bridge between customers and engineering teams across time zones to apply appropriate solutions
• Develop estimates for automation solutions independently or with hardware teams and Product Management
• Own and improve cost estimation tools for automation solutions across Cytiva’s BioProcess portfolio

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical or electrical engineering or related field
• Multiple years of experience in automation/controls engineering
• Experience with automation platforms: Rockwell, Emerson, Siemens, AVEVA PI or AVEVA System Platform
• Experience with automation protocols: Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, OPC DA/UA
• Strong communication skills with customer-facing experience
